1. Feature.
EcoContempo 6030 House
		The first 6030 House by Gregory La Vardera for EcoContempo is currently under construction. Here is an interview with Greg and some photos of the 6030 work in progress.

2. Recent additions. The following projects have been added since our last newsletter.

		Living Homes have been added to the fablist. The Ray Kappe designed LivingHome 1 is currently under construction in Santa Monica, CA
		Michelle Kaufmann Designs announced SideBreeze, a two story variant on the Sunset Breezehouse designed for narrower or sloping lots.
		The miniHOME SOLO, a self-sufficient ecological trailer is now in the fablist. The prototype is in fabrication and is one of the feature exhibits at the Canadian National Home Show in Toronto April 7 to 16, 2006.
		kitHAUS have been harboring a prototype of their system for some time in Van Nuys, CA and are now in the fablist.
		V2 World from Phoenix, AZ have built a prototype of their V2 flat. This project has been added to the fablist.
		Studio804's Modular3 project was added to the fabschool page. Modular 1 and 2 from 2005 and 2004 recently were awarded Residential Architect's Project of the Year in their seventh annual Design Awards competition.
		DESIGNhabitat2 is in full swing at Auburn University in Alabama. We added their latest Modular Affordable Housing Studio to the fabschool section.
		Place House by Place Architects in Seattle was added to the fabzone.
		We added the Moore Viau House by Garrison Architects to the fabzone.
		Noble Home by Jasondoah design-build is intended as an affordable DIY kit house.
		The product named after a category, Prefab Home from Melbourne, Australia is in the fabzone. A prototype is in the works.
		Habitat from PULSE3AM...architecture+design in New York is in the fabzone.
		pMods by Sean Wheeler was the Winner of the C2C international home competition in Roanoke, VA 2005 student category.
		The fablist now has Vision2 from Phoenix Architects in Christchurch, New Zealand.
		The Container Metamorphosed concept is in containerbay.
		Plectrum House by Sybarite UK was added to the fabzone
		Container Coliseum is now in otherfab.

3. Recent updates and announcements. The following projects have been updated since our last newsletter.
		Resolution: 4 Architecture recently won an AIA Innovation in Housing Design Award for their modular prefab work. Congratulations to Res4.
		The first iT house by Taalman Koch is under construction in Los Angeles. Here is the construction blog. We have migrated iT House to the fablist.
		Marmol Radziner Prefab have added a custom prefab homes in development section to their web site. Also the next open house at the Desert House is on April 8 2006
		Empyrean International have been on the road hosting sales events.The next Dwell Design Seminar is on Wednesday, March 29, 2006 in Los Angeles, CA. Information.
		A Greenbelt 2 by Ralph Rapson for Wieler Homes is under construction in Long Island NY
		The National Building Museum will be featuring a full-size re-creation of Michelle Kaufmann’s Glidehouse in their Blueprint For the New, Affordable-and Green-American Dream House exhibit at the National Bulding Museum in Washington DC May 20, 2006 through June 3, 2007
		In early December the OUTin EcoMod project from the University of Virginia held an open house and ribon cutting ceremony for their completed project.
		For Container lovers, Adam Kalkin has released a Quik House brochure (This link is a PDF file) with pricing information.

Try a Factory. The Empyrean marketing machine has swung into action in the past few months with various articles in the media. An example from Business 2.0 is Putting the "Fab" in Prefab. (At fabprefab we put the fab before prefab but it's a matter of personal choice really...) The New York Times: A Modern Look for Prefab Housing In December Minnesota Public Radio covered Some assembly required Phoenix-based Contact Magazine looked at V2 world in A Green Moment with V2 The New York Times looked at Adam Kalkin's work in Heavy Metal Jacket With a Luxe Lining The April issue of wallpaper* magazine offers the list of "The World's Best Prefabs". (fabprefab readers will already be familiar with the products in question - Ed.) We're not sure if the recent appearance of the Hranek House in an issue of Martha Stewart Living means that prefab has jumped the shark but modernist prefab continues to appear in a broad range of print and electronic media. Cheap Chic in The New York Times covers a reworked double wide trailer. This story ran a year ago but has not been archived yet for some reason. 5. Upcoming events.
